Introduction
On June 8th I will turn 20 and will have spent all those years calling 36W601 Lancaster Rd, St. Charles Illinois my home. In the past few years, my family has been rocked by a number of challenges including the divorce of my parents (a once perfect couple), my dad's job search struggles after the real estate market's collapse, my mother's depression as she has to work 10 hours a day at a foreclosure firm, and now; the loss of our home. I understand these challenges are not uncommon and I've certainly been privileged to grow up in such a stable environment prior to this mess, but knowing all this doesn't make the process of letting go any easier.
In order to remember and reflect upon these memories, I've decided to create a blog which documents the important and occasionally unimportant things I'll be moving away from. I don't expect anyone to read this, but that wasn't my intention. So without further ado, I introduce me to my blog.
This is a blog for letting things go. I will be 20 years old on June 8th and will have spent all those years calling 36W601 Lancaster Rd, St. Charles Illinois my home. The neighborhood, the home, and the things inside have made up the scenery for the vast majority of my memories. In the past few years, my family has been rocked by a number of challenges including the divorce of my parents (a once perfect couple), my dad's struggles to find a job after the collapse of the real estate market, my mother's depression as she now has to work 10 hours a day at a foreclosure firm, and now; the loss of our home. I understand these challenges are not uncommon and I've certainly been privileged to grow up in such a stable environment prior to all this, but knowing all this doesn't make the process of letting go any easier.
I want to be able to move on with my life without forgetting. So to remember and reflect, I've decided to create a blog which documents the important and occasionally unimportant things I'll be moving away from. I don't expect anyone to really read this, but I don't believe that's the intention. So without further ado, I introduce me to my blog.
